PURPOSE: To adjust the feeding quantity of subsoil water, etc., to a heat radiation pipe, which is installed for melting the deposited snow with no use of water sprinkling, in compliance with the amount of snow fall or deposit by opening and closing a ball valve for adjustment of the rate of water flow while the moving position of a square float is checked ocularly.
CONSTITUTION: A valve box 2 of a water flow adjusting device A for melting the deposited snow with no use of water sprinkling is put in communication through a nipple 1 to a communication pipe 13 leading from the main pipe for water delivery and also to a communication pipe 14 leading to a heat radiation pipe through a nipple 1a. A thin and long watch window 5 equipped with a graduation is installed on the oversurface of this valve box 2 consisting of a tubing, and inside thereof a square float 3 is inserted on its side with the communication pipe 13 leading from the main pipe. With a certain pressure, the float 3 is pressed by a spring 4 from the side with the other communication pipe 14 leading to the heat radiation pipe. By this structure, the quantity of subsoil water, etc., fed from the main pipe can be checked by watching the position of the float 3 through the window 5. Opening and closing of a ball valve accommodated on the side with the communication pipe 14 is adjusted by rotating the stem 6 through movement of a pin 7.
