PURPOSE: To improve reinforcing strength and permit to effect foam molding by one kind of forming material by a method wherein the forming material at a position in an expandable resin molded product, whereat a strength is requested, is pressed and compressed locally by a pressurizing means attached to a forming mold to increase the filling density of the position.
CONSTITUTION: A cavity mold 1 and a core mold 5 are aligned and clamped, a piston is retreated by supplying compressed air to the compressed air intake port 15a of a cylinder 15 and a filling hole 13 is opened after the tip end of the piston is brought to the same plane as the end surface of a guide bush 14. Successively, the forming material M, constituting of polystylene resin particles prefoamed to 50 times, is loaded into a molding space 9 and a loading hole 13 from the introducing port 12b of a loader 10. The piston 16 is advanced successively by supplying compressed air to the compressed air introducing port 15b of the cylinder 15 and the forming material M is pushed to the forming surface 3a of the cavity section 3 to compress it. Heating medium, such as steam, hot air or the like, is supplied to the spaces A, B from the supplying port 2a of a box frame 2 and the supplying port 6a of the box frame 6. The forming material M is heated and foamed while the particles are fused mutually.
