Abstract:

PURPOSE: To mold a plurality of articles out of fine chips with a uniform quality without deteriorating a pump in durability.

CONSTITUTION: A mold 10, which is provided with a product cavity 18, a lead-in port 16 connected thereto, and a discharge path 20, and a mixing tank 26 are prepared. A slurry prepared by mixing a solvent made of a substance having a boiling point lower than an ordinary temperature with fine chips to be molded is contained in the mixing tank. The high-pressure solvent is supplied into the mixing tank. The pressure of the slurry in the mixing tank is kept to be not less than 10kg/cm2. While the slurry is led into the cavity 18 through the lead-in port 16, the solvent in the cavity is discharged through the discharge path 20. Then, the solvent is discharged through the discharge path while decreasing in pressure. The fine chips are pressure molded by a pressure gradient in the cavity between the lead-in port and the discharge path.
