Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a money processing method and device which stores and holds the count value obtained by counting coins stored in a coin tube in a RAM backed up by a battery, does not initialize the stored and held counter value unnecessarily, and initializes it in proper timing.
SOLUTION: The number of the coins stored in the coin tube is stored and held in a RAM 13 backed up by the battery, the states of an emptiness switch 22 and a coin fullness and the kind of a cassette tube detected by a cassette detection sensor 21 are stored in the RAM 13, and each time, the power source is turned off and then on, the states of the emptiness switch 22 and coin fullness switch 23 stored in the RAM 13 and the kind of the cassette tube detected by the cassette detection sensor 21 are compared with current states to initialize the number of coins stored in the RAM 13 when there is mismatching states.
