Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device by which a state of internal memory in a writing device for a data carrier can be recognized at any time, and also a request to a transmission bus is suppressed, when monitoring the state of the internal memory in the writing device for compensating a rate difference between a device for processing data and transmitting them and the writing device for the data carrier.
SOLUTION: Time is measured during an operation phase of the writing device. Further, the number of sent-out write instructions is measured. Moreover, between making checks of the internal memory state or after checking it, at the final check or hereafter, after a prescribed or pre-settable time, or a prescribed or pre-settable time interval, writing speed, a size of the internal memory, and the state of the number of the sent-out write instructions are obtained at that point of time.
