To provide a method and a device capable of cost-suitably designing a thread guide driving device of a winder without having negative influence on quality of a cross-winding bobbin tried to be manufactured.
A traversing thread guide 7 is accelerated associatively to a traversing stroke width. A thread guide driving device 8 and a control device 10 are used, and a thread guide 7 is controlled to be exposed to maximum acceleration only by a traverse stroke where a reversal point 14 exists in an area of a bobbin flank 15. That is, the driving device is applied with a load in a short time in 3 to 5 times a motor current thermally allowed in continuous operation. The load is applied as much as 1.5 to 2.5 times motor operation allowed in the continuous operation in the shortened traverse stroke.
