Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a method and a device for performing measurement between frequencies of downlink and measurement between RATs under CELL_FACH state.SOLUTION: A method for determining a measurement action associated with the CELL_FACH state by means of a wireless transmission unit (WTRU) includes a step of determining whether or not the DRX operation has been configured in the CELL_FACH state, a step of performing at least one of measurement between frequencies and measurement between RATs in the DRX period, if a determination is made that the DRX operation has been configured and the DRX has been enabled, and a step of ignoring the FACH measurement chance when a determination is made that the DRX operation has been configured and an E-DCH resource hase been used.
