Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a device for plotting an earth fault point for a magnetic floating system of railway which can be utilized for an LSM feeder circuit.
SOLUTION: A controller 7, which controls the travel of a magnetic floating type train by operating a feeding-section switch 6, according to a program, specifies the feeding section where earth fault has occurred, and computes the distance df from an inverter 1 to the feeding section. A frequency detector 9 detects the resonance frequency fn of the sound phase or the resonance frequency ff of the unsound phase of a closed circuit which is made when an inverter 1 on earth fault occurrence is gate-blocked, that is, a closed circuit which is made of an output filter 4, a three-phase feeding cable 2, a three-phase propulsion coil 5 in the feeding section where the ground fault accident has occurred, and an earth. An arithmetic unit 10 performs specified operation, based on the above resonance frequency fn or ff and the above distance df, and plots the distance xc from one end of the three-phase propulsion coil in the feeding section where the above short circuit accident has occurred to the earth fault point.
