PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the uniformity of a pressure which is applied by a recording head to a recording material being pinched by a method wherein the long-sized recording head and a platen roller being confronted with the recording head, are respectively supported by two sheets of supporting side plates, and at least one of the supporting side plates is moved based on a supporting table, to adjust the parallelism.
SOLUTION: The expanded part of a supporting side plate 84b at the lower end, is firmly fixed to a supporting table 102. On the contracy, the lower end part of a supporting side plate 84a, is notched excepting a protruding part 104 at the right lower end, and the left end part turns in the direction shown by arrow (b) with the protruding part 104 as a fulcrum, and the leading end comes into contact with the supporting table 102, and by rotating an adjusting screw 108 which is screwed with a female thread part of an expanded part 106 of the supporting side plate 84a, the left lower end part of the supporting side plate 84a is moved, and the height is changed based on the supporting table 102. As a result, the rotating shaft 61 of a platen roller 60 being rotatably supported by the supporting side plates 84a and 84b with bearings, and a spindle 86 which is the rotating shaft of a thermal head 10, are relatively twisted.
