To provide a method and a device, in which exhaust gas containing H2 is efficiently safered without causing explosion of H2 gas.

The device for safering exhaust gas containing hydrogen comprizes a water scrubber 1, an NaOH aqueous solution scrubber 2 positioned on the downstream thereof and a combustion furnace 3 positioned on the downstream side of the same. The combustion furnace 3 is equipped with an exhaust gas-feeding pipe 12 in the furnace for introducing H2-containing exhaust gas supplied from the NaOH aqueous solution scrubber and with a high temperature air-feeding device 20, in which air of the outside of the combustion furnace 3 is heated to make hot air not lower than ignition temperature of H2 and supplied to the vicinity of the tip part of the exhaust gas-feeding pipe 12 in the furnace.
