When jet flows 9 from gas wiping nozzles 8 are blown to both faces of a steel strip drawn up from a hot dip bath and a hot dip plating quantity is adjusted, from an auxiliary nozzle 10 arranged at the same height as the wiping nozzles 8 an having an actuate angle of outside width, a jet flow 11 having pressure higher than the jet flow 9 is ejected toward a plate width direction center part of the steel strip 1. After the jet flows 9 from ejection holes at both end parts of the gas wiping nozzle 8 are collided with a side face of the auxiliary nozzle 10, it is made to a deflection flow 12 directing to an end part in the plate width direction of the steel strip 1.
