Abstract:

To produce electronic components having uniform layer thicknesses of the order of few nanometers with rotary printing machines.

In a method for printing liquid layers for producing functional layers for electronic components in a rotary printing machine, a drying time t_dry, or an immobilization time t_imm between the printing of the liquid layer in a printing nip of cylinders 2, 5 of the printing machine and the immobilization of the liquid layer, and a time x t_lev after which differences in thickness in the liquid layer have subsided after printing to a residual level that is no longer problematic are adapted to one another to satisfy the relation of x t_lev<t_imm or x t_lev<t_dry, where x is a number greater than 1.
