Abstract:
PURPOSE: To coordinate a texture with an optimum resolution with a three- dimensional (3-D) shape by forming the texture with an optional size based upon a vector value function.
CONSTITUTION: A 3-D image input means 121 reads out the specification of 3-D scene to be formed from a 3-D scene data base 11. A 3-D image forming processor 123 finds out the projection image of a subject in accordance with the specified contents of the 3-D scene interpreted by a 3-D scene interpreting device 122 and decides the resolution of the texture in accordance with the size of the projection image. A two-dimensional (2-D) image forming device 124 reads out a vector value function for regulating a texture pattern from a character font data base 15 and forms a texture with the decided resolution. The processor 123 finds out the photographed image of the subject obtained by coordinating the formed texture on the subject. A 3-D image output device 125 displays the obtained 3-D image on a display 14.
