Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a high cushioning ability of cushioning material and collect and reuse the used papers after use by a method wherein a single faced corrugated cardboard is wound with a plurality of turns on the axis extending in the corrugation ridge direction of a corrugating medium to obtain a cylindrical roll, which is then formed into a shape with a L-shaped cross section.
CONSTITUTION: In a cushioning material for use in packing an electric appliance such as refrigerator by placing between the electric appliance and an outer case (corrugated cardboard case) in such a manner as to enclose the edges of the electric appliance, a single faced corrugated cardboard D composed of a liner paper 12 and a corrugating medium 13 with corrugated cross section attached to the one side thereof is wound with a plurality of turns on the axis extending in the corrugation ridge direction of the corrugating medium 13, with the ridges thereof coated with an adhesive agent, to form a cylindrical roll K having its layers bonded together and the cylindrical roll K is placed on a support and bent at right angles to the axis with a nearly L-shaped cross section.
