Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a smooth laminated film without wrinkling by bringing a porous support plate into contact with the side of a film not to be exposed to an electrolytic soln. and carrying out plating while sucking air on the side. CONSTITUTION:A porous support plate 7 is set in a space 6 so that it is brought into contact with the side of a plastic film F not to be plated. Electrode foil 8 is brought into contact with the periphery of the side of the film F to be plated. Electric current is supplied to a thin metal film on the plastic film F through a plating soln. and the foil 8 to plate the surface of the metal film. During this plating, the air in the space 6 is sucked through a communicating hole 12. Even when bubbles are present between the adhered surfaces of the film F and the porous support plate 7, they are sucked and removed through the pores in the plate 7.
