PURPOSE: To prevent faulty etching by guiding a photosensitive planographic printing plate in a state where it is inclined against the entrance of a processing tank, carrying it in the processing tank, and allowing it to pass in etching liquid in the processing tank, thereby performing processing.
CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive planographic printing plate P to be processed is guided to the entrance of the processing tank 13 in the inclined state by carrying rollers 7 and 8. The angle θ of the inclination is set within 3-30°, desirably 8-20°. Furthermore, a guide in the inclined state is provided on the leading edge side of a lower guiding member 12 so as to guide the plate P to the entrance of the tank 13 in a state where the leading edge of the plate P may be brought into contact with the guide. In order to adjust the inclined state of the carried plate P, a mechanism for adjusting the entire of the rollers 7 and 8 up and down is provided. The storage of liquid 14 is arranged at the prestage of an etching liquid supply port so that the etching liquid may be uniformly supplied in a width direction in the processing tank 13.
