Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the uniform distribution of wall thickness by winding spirally an unvulcanized rubber strip around the side surface of a bed tire having the respective shells of tread and side wall removed by buffing to form side regional rubber. CONSTITUTION:In regenerating used tires 1, the shells of tread rubber and side wall 2, 3 are first removed from the used tire 1 by buffing to provide a bed tire 4. Next, an unvulcanized thin rubber strip 7 is wound overlappingly spirally from the inside to the outside around the side region from a rim line 5 to a shoulder edge 6 of bed tire 4. Then, a tread rubber layer 8 is recapped to provide a regenerated green tire. Thus, the regenerated tire can be easily provided which has the uniform distribution thickness of renewed rubber shell on the side wall without defects such as bares even if patterns or the like are molded.
