Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a long-sized pipe having no die line flaws and having dimensional stability by inserting a bottomed blank pipe onto a thrustable and rotatable mandrel and drawing the same with skew rolling rolls while giving reducing force to the bottom of the blank pipe.
CONSTITUTION: The root end part of a mandrel 1 is connected to a carriage 2, is held rotatably around the axial line, and is thrust in the axial length direction. A bottomed blank pipe P0 inserted onto the mandrel 1 is gnawed 1 is gnawed between skew rolling rolls 3l, 3r of a skew rolling mill 3, and while it receives screw moving effect, it is rolled. The pipe P0 rolled in this way is cut off of its bottom part P'0 and is formed to a pipe.
