To precisely adjust a position of the rear end of a needle to be calked to combine with a suture and obtain a stable calking strength for a device for producing sutures with a needle.

A suture is inserted into a suture insertion hole at the rear end of a needle N held at a needle holding part 16, and the needle N and the suture are combined by calking the rear end of the needle N in this condition. Before calking the needle, the rear end of the needle N as held at the needle holding part 16 is pressed to a specified position by a rod 99, etc., and the relative position of the rear end of the needle N to the needle holding part 16 is minutely adjusted by the pressing.
