To provide an image processing method, image processor and image processing program for enabling a user to perform fast image processing with optimum halftone processing in outputting particular data without being aware of the characteristics of the outputted data, and to provide a recording medium with the image processing program recorded thereon.
This image processor which applies color processing that matches the color space of output ink of a printer to be used to input image data such as an input color signal to be output data, and applies halftone processing to the output data to be output image data such as an output signal, is provided with an identifying means for applying color processing that matches the color space of the output ink of the printer to be used to the input image data to be the output data and subsequently identifying the output data, a selecting means for selecting one piece of halftone processing among a plurality of pieces of halftone processing by means of the identifying means, and a generating means for generating the output image data from the output data with the selected halftone processing.
