Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service providing method and a service providing device capable of easily obtaining an individual specification card and also mounting a plurality of applications on one card so as to please a card holder.
SOLUTION: A user connects to the site of a provider 2 with his/her own PC4 to download an application, and user authentication is performed by using a master card 6a set in an IC card R/W5 (ST30). When the user authentication is justifiably finished, memory empty capacity is confirmed to check whether to be able to download a desired application to a memory of the master card 6a (ST31). In the case of being downloadable, the application is downloaded to the master card 6a (ST33). When the downloading is finished, the user is registered in the provider 2, the application downloaded to the master card 6a is set to an operation mode to be available. The download processing is finished (ST35).
