To establish a pumping method which can enhance the water head and/or efficiency without replacement of a pumping pump.

Water 13 is pumped-up by a pump 14 via a hose 17 inserted in the pumping water while air is injected to the lower part of the hose 17 by a tube 18 connected with a compressor 19. Bubbles 57 generated in the water in the hose 17 are raised by the hose 17 to form a rising water stream, and the water 13 is efficiently pumped-up by the pump 14 together with the bubbles 57. An air supplying pipe part 18 installed in a pipe and opened in its lower part and an air supply source 19 to supply air to this lower part of pipe via the air supplying pipe part constitute an intended water device, which ensures that the head of the pump and its efficiency are improved substantially.
