Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech recognition device capable of coping with such environments as changes occur suddenly or plural changes alternately appear.
SOLUTION: A speech inputted through a microphone 10 is segmented by a speech uptaking part 12, and the features are extracted by an analyzing part 14. A speech detecting part 16 detects a background noise pattern based on the signals inputted from a start of analysis up to a detection of a start edge. The detected background noise pattern is stored in an environment learning data storing part 26 divided into n-pieces indexed with certain thresold values. Thus, environment learning data suitable for each noise environment are stored. When speech recognition is performed, the most suitable noise pattern is selected from plural ones for the use.
