PURPOSE: To provide a color image recording method and a color image recorder by which color mixture by mixing toner or the early deterioration of developer is prevented from occurring and a high-quality color image can be recorded.
CONSTITUTION: A first developing machine 104, a second developing machine 105, a third developing machine 106 and a fourth developing machine 107 are arranged around a photoreceptor 101 in turn. Then, carrier and the toner constituting the developer used for the respective developing machines are provided with triboelectrification series shown by the expression of T2-<C2-<T1-<C1+< T1+<C2+<T2+ and the expression of T2-<C2-<T1-<C1-<T1+<C2+<T2+. Provided that, T1+ is the first toner, T1- is the second toner, T2+ is the third toner, T2- is the fourth toner, C1+ is the first carrier, C1- is the second carrier, C2+ is the third carrier and C2- is the fourth carrier.
