To efficiently reduce the content of lead in cement without exerting influence on the quality of the cement.
The lead recovery device is equipped with: a reduction firing furnace 2 installed in cement firing equipment and subjecting lead in the charged lead-containing raw material to reduction volatilization; and a lead recovery means 3 for recovering lead from exhaust gas in the reduction firing furnace 2. Lead in the lead-containing raw material M is volatilized utilizing a reduction atmosphere in the reduction firing furnace 2, and the volatilized lead is recovered by the lead recovery means 3, thus the lead is efficiently recovered from a cement production process. The led recovery means 3 may be provided with a dry type or wet type dust collection means for collecting dust in exhaust gas of the reduction firing furnace 2. As a heat source for the reduction firing furnace 2, exhaust gas in the cement firing equipment may be steam-extracted and is introduced into the reduction firing furnace 2, or a part of raw materials heated to 800C such as raw materials exhausted from a cyclone 12 at the lowest stage of a preheater may be fed to the reduction firing furnace 42. As a reducing agent for the reduction firing furnace, combustible waste such as saw dust can be effectively utilized.
