Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the remelting treatment without the need for large cutting by securing the remelting depth and also preventing the generation of an underfill portion caused by the shoulder excessive penetration when the remelting treatment is carried out to a treatment portion with a corner part such as a valve clearance part.
SOLUTION: A plasma arc 3 for securing the remelting depth of a given depth is applied towards a width direction center position 132 of a valve clearance part 13 of a cylinder head 1 from a tungsten electrode 2. Simultaneously with the application, a powder 6 of the same material as the base material of the cylinder head is supplied towards the descentered position on the corner portion 133, 133 sides from powder supplying pores 5, 5. Padded portions 71, 71 are formed at both side shoulder parts of the solidified portion 7 being formed, so as to avoid the underfill portion at both corner parts. In the case that the corner part exists on only one side, the powder is supplied to only one side having the corner part.
