PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for removing a defective portion of roll base paper including the defective portion.
SOLUTION: The defective portion removing device 1 is structured so that the recycled roll paper 83 is manufactured by removing the defective portion from the roll base paper 81 including the defective portion, and is located between an unwinder 84 to pay off the paper base 81 and a winder 88 to take up a web 85 paid off from the roll base paper 81 as recycled roll base paper 83. The device 1 is equipped with a two-side adhesive tape affixing a device 2 to affix two-side adhesive tapes 92 in front of and in the rear of the cutting line of the web 85, a paper cutting device 30 to cut the web 85 in the transverse direction, a sheet feed changeover guide device 50 to change over the feeding direction of the web 85 after being cut, a defective portion winding device 110, and a paper-end moving device 131 to replenish cut ends of the web 85 removed with the defective portion.
