To provide a method and a device thereof separating easily heavy matter fractions and sorted fractions by a possible best efficient method and realizing a compact structure formation of a separating line.
In a method for separating heavy matter fractions, namely beverage cartons, PEs, PPs, PETs, heavy matter fractions PPKs and mixed synthesized substances, are separated step by step successively from a heavy material, and PEs and PPs are separated step by step successively from fine fractions by automatic separators connected in series successively in order, and at that time, refuses not to be separated from the heavy matters and fine fractions are introduced from respective separators down to following separators having a vertical gap of 50-450 mm from the foregoing separators. In a device thereof for separating a refuse mixture, the 5-450 mm vertical gap is formed between a conveyor face 28 of a conveyor belt 25 storing the materials to be separated and a conveyor face 29 of a following conveyor belt 25 storing the refuses to be separated.
