PURPOSE: To permit metal dies to be accelerated and shorten the opening and closing time thereof by a method wherein the correction of a preset acceleration of metal dies, the opening and closing action thereof and the measurement of the amplitude of the vibration thereof are repeated, the acceleration attained when the measured amplitude reaches at least a preset amplitude is stored as the final preset acceleration and it is used in the subsequent opening and closing action.
CONSTITUTION: Metal dies 8 and 10 are accelerated to a temporarily preset speed to cause them to effect an opening and closing action and the amplitude of the vibration accompanied by its movement is measured. When the measured amplitude is smaller than the preset amplitude, the metal dies 8 and 10 are accelerated to the preset speed by the acceleration corrected by adding a predetermined acceleration to this acceleration to cause them to effect the opening and closing action and the amplitude of the vibration accompanied by its movement is measured. The correction of the preset acceleration, the opening and closing action of the metal dies 8 and 10 and the measurement of the vibration amplitude are repeated and the acceleration attained when the measured amplitude reaches at least the preset amplitude is stored as the final acceleration and it is used to open and close the metal dies 8 and 10 at the time of molding.
