Abstract:
PURPOSE: To quickly and easily remove core sand from a hollow part by quickly collapsing the core in the hollow part of a cast product without occurrence of noise and dust and without needing heat radiation from the cast product.
CONSTITUTION: Water is poured into the hollow part 2a of the core 2 fitted to the hollow part of the cast product 3 taken out from a metallic mold in the high temp. condition after casting by using the shell mold core 2. The core 2 is crushed by explosive boiling generated in between the surface of the hollow part in the cast product 3 and the core 2 to remove the core sand.
