Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for placing a transition to a stream of video data in an electrographic imaging device.
SOLUTION: A rasterizer (16) included in the electrographic imaging device (10) generates a pixel data bite based on data defining an image received from a computer (12). A converter (17) generates a code for designating a position of the transition in a pixel time period corresponding to the pixel data bite. A transition placing device (18) includes a phase measuring device (104) and measures a timing offset between an active edge of a beam detection signal and a rising edge of a reference clock. A transition adjusting device (107) adjusts the position of the transition designated by the code with respect to the rising edge of the reference clock by using the timing offset. A transition generating logic (111) generates the transition for the video data stream by using the adjusted transition position received from the transition adjusting device (107).
