PURPOSE: To stably and efficiently roll a metal sheet without degradation of surface brightness by increasing a surface roughness of the inlet and outlet side bridle rolls, by changing a ratio between both peripheral speeds of the bridle rolls, and by reducing a surface roughness of a driving roll.
CONSTITUTION: A metal sheet 19 supplied from a recoiler 12 is carried to an inlet side driving roll 16 through an inlet side bridle roll 14, is rolled by combination of a floating roll 18 and an outlet side driving roll 17, and then is wound on a coiler 13 through an outlet side bridle roll 15. A surface roughness of respective inlet and outlet side bridle rolls 14, 15 is increased so that Ra is about 0.5 and a surface roughness of the driving rolls 16, 17 is reduced so that Ra is about 0.2. A ratio between respective peripheral speeds of the rolls 14, 15 is properly changed to control a sheet thickness. Hence, stable and efficient rolling is performable without degradation of surface brightness of the metal sheet 19.
