Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STACKING TORTILLA CHIP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011042506
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To stack curved triangular snack food chips, for instance, tortilla chips to be stored in a sleeve-like container.

The snack food chips 10 are supplied to a first U-shaped vibratory chute 30. The chute 30 automatically arranges the snack food chips 10 in such a manner that the apex A of the snack food chip 10 automatically extends over the opposed base B of the adjacent snack food chip 10, and a straight line, with which the snack food chips curve as an axis, is parallelized with the longitudinal direction of the U-shaped chute 30. The snack food chips 10 are supplied to a W-shaped chute 40, and the snack food chips 10 pointing opposed directions are automatically dropped in opposed troughs of the chute 40. The snack food chips 10 are automatically rotated by 120 degrees so that the upward apex A points to a moving direction, and automatically stacked as they slide and rise to overlap each other.
