PURPOSE: To stamp and print collectively on different kinds of material such as metallic sheets and to contrive the simplification of operation and the stabilization of quality.

CONSTITUTION: The stamping method is such that, through a resin film 3 containing a pigment, a heated stamping part 2 is pressed, on the surface of a part 4 to be stamped, to form a marked recessed part; and that through the use of the heat and pressure of the stamping part 2, a thermoplastic resin film 3 or a thermosetting resin film 3 is pressed, welded or adhered to the bottom 8 of the marked recessed part. The device is constituted of a heating part 7 internally installed, the stamping part 2 for stamping letters or symbols on the part 4 to be stamped on a material, the resin film 3 containing a pigment, and a press part 1 for pressing the stamping part 2 on the part 4 to be stamped.
