Abstract:
To provide a method for activating a device and a device.SOLUTION: This application relates to the field of electronic technology, and provides a device and a method for activating the device including the steps of: achieving power-on and user identity verification by executing one-button activation operation by a user; reducing a user operation and time required for device activation and system login; and improving efficiency of device activation and efficiency of system login. The specific solution is that the device comprises a power supply button and a fingerprint sensor, where the power supply button and the fingerprint sensor are integrated as a single body. The method may be applied to a process that a user presses the power supply button to activate the device, and the method comprises: obtaining fingerprint information collected by the fingerprint sensor; storing the fingerprint information; obtaining a fingerprint authentication request; and providing the fingerprint information to perform fingerprint authentication, in order to log in to an operating system of the device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
