The web rotary press includes a printing unit 102 for printing on a web, a slitter 109 for cutting a printed material printed by the printing unit 102 in a direction parallel to a conveyance direction of the web, a folding machine 106 provided with a cutting blade for cutting the printed material cut by the slitter 109 in a direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the web, and stacker bundler devices 115A, 115B on an A side and a B side where signatures cut by the cutting blade are discharged. The web rotary press is further provided with counters 62A, 62B for counting the number of signatures discharged to the A side and B side stacker bundler devices, a picture setting means for setting whether or not the cut signatures have the same pictures, and a control means for, when the setting of the picture setting means is the same picture, stopping printing of the printing unit 102 based on the total value of the number of signatures discharged to the A side and B side stacker bundler devices.
