To provide technique for straightening meandering of a belt-like body which includes large capacity for straightening the meandering of the belt-like body and by which the meandering is immediately straightened when the meandering is generated in a continuous passing line for conveying the belt-like body.

In the continuous passing line of the belt-like body for continuously conveying the belt-like body 1 with a conveying roller 2, a displacement imparting means is provided on at least either of the inlet side and the outlet side in the vicinity of the conveying roller 2. The displacement imparting means is composed of electromagnets 3, 4 which are provided on the rear surface near both ends of the belt-like body 1 and electromagnets 5, 6 which are provided on the surface near both ends of the belt-like body. By simultaneously energizing the electromagnets 3 and 6 or the electromagnets 4 and 5, the belt-like body 1 is attracted in the opposite direction. In the above manner, the belt-like body 1 is inclined so as to be shown by a dotted line 1' and the meandering is straightened.
