Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SUPPLYING INK TO GRAVURE ROLL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2954753
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To sufficiently supply ink to constantly conduct a proper printing by a method wherein when ink is supplied to ink cells formed on the peripheral surface of a gravure roll, ink in an ink pan is supplied while a negative pressure is generated on the peripheral surface of the gravure roll.
CONSTITUTION: In an ink supply device 2 used in contact with a gravure roll 1, an ink pan 5 having a bottom wall 3, a side wall 4, and an opening at its top end in contact with the gravure roll 1 is provided. A pressure reducing chamber 6 is provided rearward of the ink pan 5 in the rotating direction of the gravure roll 1 across the aforesaid bottom wall 3 as a partition wall. Furthermore, the ink pan 5 is connected to an ink path 8 and the like, and the pressure reducing chamber 6 is connected to a pressure reducing path 9 and the like. With the rotation of the gravure roll 1, a negative pressure is made to act to an opening 7 at the top end of the pressure reducing chamber 6, whereby ink in the ink pan 5 is satisfactorily supplied to ink cells formed on the peripheral surface of the gravure roll 1. In this manner, a proper printing is constantly conducted. In addition, excess ink is removed by a scraping plate 10.
