Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain switch back operation by inserting standby system abnormality information into an optional byte Z1Z2 in an SOH of an active system main signal so as to allow an opposite device side to detect an abnormality in a standby system and selecting a K1K2 byte from the normal system.
CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a block 109 inserting standby system abnormality information to an optional byte Z1Z2 in an SOH of all systems of an active system when a standby system is discriminated as in abnormality by an in-equipment monitor. A main signal is subjected to electrooptical conversion 102 and the result is sent to an opposite equipment. A receiver side equipment applies optoelectrical conversion 103 to the main signal and establishes (104) frame synchronization and an SOH termination block 105 terminates (106) K1K2 bytes. Furthermore, a standby system abnormality information inserted at the transmitter side equipment is terminated (107) when the standby system is faulty based on the error alarm of the reception signal and the standby system abnormality information, the K1K2 byte 107 terminated by the normal active system is selected. Thus, switching is conducted by selecting the switching information of the normal system.
