Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TESTING VERTICAL MOVE IN WATER TANK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3158164
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform a move test while using a normal water tank accurately, inexpensively, and easily over a long vertical move distance by filling the inside of a cylindrical body where an upper edge is blocked and a lower edge is open below the water surface of a water tank with water.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical body 2 where an upper edge is blocked and a lower edge is open below a water surface 1W of a water bath 1 when moving a sample 4 as a model of an underwater cruising body vertically in the water tank 1. Water is filled inside the cylindrical body 2 up to a level 2W which is higher than the water surface 1W and then the vertical move (settling from a position 4') of the sample 4 is performed by utilizing the water depth from the water surface 2W inside the cylindrical body 2 to the bottom surface of the water tank 1. The purpose of the test is to examine how much noise affects an acoustic equipment such as a sonar mounted on the underwater cruising body due to water flow, etc., and a plurality of acoustic sensors corresponding to the acoustic equipment such as the sonar are mounted on the top surface of the sample 4.
