To turn a lead wire transferred in a erected state into a horizontal state correctly and surely without damaging the same and turn simultaneously a flat sheet of a tub also into the same horizontal state to permit the transfer of the same into a next process.

The transferring device for the electronic component lead wire is provided with: a drum 16 formed so as to have a truncated conical shape and constituted so that its center shaft 20 is turned intermittently in a slanted state so as to be capable of attracting the electronic component lead wire 22 at the lowermost point 16b of a conical surface 16a one by one by the suction of air, while controlling the lead wire 22 so as to become horizontal at the uppermost point 16c after substantially turning half from the lowermost point 16b; and a tub contacting unit 18 attached so that the tub 22a of the lead wire 22 attracted to the drum is abutted against the tub contacting unit, and that the flat sheet 22b of the tub is forcibly tilted by a friction force accompanied by the rotation of the drum 16 so that the flat sheet 22b is brought into the same horizontal state at the uppermost point 16c.
