Abstract:
PURPOSE: To transmit a digital HDTV signal through a communication link for broadcasting. CONSTITUTION: The HDTV signal is compressed and supplied with a data rate lower than 20.48Mbit/s or data are compressed to the data rate lower than 20.48Mbit/s by using psychological and optical phenomenon of human eyes. Furthermore, on a transmitting side of a wide band transmission link operated by a DSR system, the HDTV signal is divided into two data streams of 10.24Mbit/s and outputted to an I/Q interface of a 4 PSK modulator 4 of a DSR transmission link. The two data streams are transmitted to an I/Q output of a 4 PSK demodulator of the DSR wide band transmission link and processed there.
