To enable a surgeon efficiently perform transseptal facilitation or a perforation technique with an effective method.
The method for performing the technique at an oval fossa of a septum wall of the heart includes a step to use a sheath (120) having a body (120a) and the body of the sheath includes a lumen (122a) which extends through the body and an open end part (122) of which the position is at a distal end part of the body. The main body of the sheath also includes at least one terminal (124) disposed at the distal end. The oval fossa of the septum wall is identified using at least one terminal of the sheath.
