To provide a method for treating a liquid, by which stable electric discharge can be provided when the liquid present between electrodes is reformed by supplying a pulse electric power between the electrodes, and an apparatus for realizing the method.
In the liquid treating method for reforming the liquid, which comprises providing at least a couple of electrodes, immersing at least one of the electrode couple into the liquid to be treated, and supplying a pulsed electric power to the electrode couple so as to form an electric discharge state in the liquid to be treated present between the electrodes, the device is operated in such a manner that at least one of the electrode couple is moved so as to change the electric discharge generation part on the moving electrode.
