Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for treating waste water containing ammonium fluoride by which the treating device can be made smaller in size and little sludge is produced.
SOLUTION: The method for treating waste water containing ammonium fluoride is carried out by subjecting the waste water containing ammonium fluoride to stripping in a stripper under alkaline conditions and bringing the waste gas discharged from the stripper into contact with an ammonia decomposing catalyst. The device for treating waste water containing ammonium fluoride is equipped with a pH controlling means for waste water containing ammonium fluoride, the stripper and a reactor of the ammonia decomposing catalyst.
