Abstract:

To prevent an expander from operating at an undesirable speed.

A method is for reducing a transition time through a speed range, which is unsafe for the integrity of a first expander 110, by automatically biasing a speed of a second expander 120 receiving a fluid flow output from the first expander 110. The method includes: a step of setting the speed of the second expander to become larger than a current speed of the first expander when the current speed of the first expander increases and is smaller than a first speed value, or decreases and is smaller than a second speed value; and a step of setting the speed of the second expander to become smaller than the current speed of the first expander when the current speed of the first expander increases and is larger than the first speed value, or decreases and is larger than the second speed value.
