Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To well wash both sides of the inner surface of a beer barrel and the outer surface of a downtube for delivery of beer. SOLUTION: The method for washing a beer barrel is performed by prewashing, main washing, hot water washing and rinsing washing in a state in which the beer barrel 1 is inverted. The main washing is performed by both spout washing and bubbling washing. In spout washing, a detergent liquid is spouted into the barrel through the downtube 5 of a beer delivery valve 3 fitted to the mouthpiece 2 of the beer barrel 1. Thereby, the inner surface of the barrel and the outer surface of the downtube are washed by the detergent liquid flowing along the inner surface of the barrel and the outer surface of the downtube. In bubbling washing, the barrel is filled with a detergent liquid and air is sent into the detergent liquid through a gas supply path of the beer delivery valve 3. Then, a sent air becomes bubbles (b) and rises in the detergent liquid. The outer surface of the downtube and the inner surface of the barrel are washed by bubbling of the detergent liquid.
