To provide a method for diagnosing the character of swines, based on the seasonal polymorphism of swine beta 3 adrenaline receptor gene, comprising analyzing the seasonal polymorphism of the swine beta 3 adrenaline receptor gene, using the polymorphism as a gene marker for breeding the swine, and determining the characters of the swine, by which the swine having a desired character (quality of meat) can be selected.
This method for diagnosing the character of the swine based on the seasonal polymorphism of the swine beta 3 adrenaline receptor gene comprises analyzing the seasonal polymorphism on a strong chain imbalance genome sequence of an allele, in which the repeating times of continuous T (thymine) existing close to the swine beta 3 adrenaline receptor gene and existing in a nucleotide sequence in the exon 2 of the swine beta 3 adrenaline receptor gene is five or six, namely, through indirect analysis of the seasonal polymorphism of the swine beta 3 adrenaline receptor gene.
