Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method by which the earthquake proofing property of a structure can be evaluated under each concrete condition.
CONSTITUTION: By attaching detecting means 3 which can detect and record the degree of deformation of such a prescribed structural element as the pillar 1 of a structure, etc., to the pillar 1 and recording the actual degree of deformation of the structural element by means of the detecting means 3 when an earthquake occurs, the earthquake proofing property of the structure is discriminated based on a prescribed calculation basis from actual deformation data obtained from the detecting means 3 and the data regarding the scale of the earthquake.
