To provide a method easily and inexpensively disassembling a heat exchanger and a new crushing apparatus certainly enabling lage-quantity continuous treatment used therein.
The outer periphery of a metal pipe is expanded in a predetermined direction to destruct, for example, a radiation thin plate before crushing the same. The expansion of the outer periphery of a metal pipe can be performed by rolling. A feed part 24 sending and supplying a heat exchanger 2 into a crushing apparatus 20 in the direction almost crossing the axis of the metal pipe at a right angle and the crushing roll 32 facing to the feed out port 26a of the feed part 24 are provided to the crushing apparatus 20. The crushing roll 32 consists of a roll main body 34 and a plurality of the protruding parts 36 provided to the outer peripheral surface thereof in an elastically deformable manner and impinging against the protruding parts of the heat exchanger by the axial rotation of the roll main body 34. In this crushing apparatus 20, the pressure contact of the heat exchanger 2 is loosened by the impact force of the protruding parts 36 and the elastic restoring force thereof acts as scaping-up force.
